Our mission at Areté Academy is to raise up a generation of young people at Grace Community Church, thoroughly versed in a biblical world view and equipped with a classical education, that will both aspire to challenge and attempt to transform culture by being intentional neighbors for Christ.

Areté is the classical Greek word for both excellence and moral virtue. The foundation of authentic education. At Areté Academy, we believe true education forms both the mind and character.
We are committed to developing Christlike leaders through a blend of intellectual rigor, biblical formation, and personalized mentoring. Students are challenged to pursue academic excellence while being shaped by the highest examples of virtue from both classical and biblical tradition.
Our curriculum connects timeless truths to present-day leadership, preparing students to lead with clarity and conviction. Whether in the workplace, the classroom, the church or the broader community.
Our long-term vision? To see Sarasota become the hub for classical and biblical education within the church and share this model with like-minded Christian communities across the nation and the world.

A new beginning - Join the Founding Class
Areté Academy is in its exciting launch phase. As we grow, logistics and program elements may evolve. We’re committed to building a strong, intentional foundation, and you have the opportunity to be part of shaping it.
We are intentionally beginning small, welcoming just 10 students into our founding class. We’re inviting applicants ages 14 through adult who are eager to grow in wisdom, leadership, and Christlike character. The first students will help shape the DNA of Areté Academy for years to come.
Special Launch Tuition: As part of our founding class, your tuition will be just $1,000/semester for the entire first academic year.
