Elementary Pastor

Provides leadership and direction to the Elementary age of the kids@grace Ministry. The Elementary Pastor is responsible for the pastoring of children and their families through the implementation of a ministry strategy that inspires wonder about God and builds a foundation of faith that will last a lifetime.

Who we are

Grace Community Church is a dynamic, Christ-centered church located in the heart of our community. We exist to reach the unchurched by being intentional neighbors that reflect Christ in all we do.

Responsibilities:

- Preparing Elementary lessons specific to age groups (K-1st and 2nd-3rd) using the kids@grace curriculum and video curriculum

- Reviewing bible lesson in advance and being ready to teach up to 3 services a weekend if needed

- Prepping and setting up Elementary classroom(s) prior to weekend services; cleaning up and resetting classroom(s) at the end of Sunday services

- Volunteer and Family care – connecting volunteers and families with the Care Team when needed

- Handling scheduling and communication with volunteers to properly and adequately staff the Elementary room

- Build leaders and encourage volunteers through periodic check-ins and pastoral encouragement and care

  • Be available to work on weekends. Schedule options as follows:  
      Sunday – Thursday for a total of 40 hours Sunday, Tuesday – Friday for a total of 40 hours

*Occasional kids@grace events may happen off-hours and can count towards the total of 40 hours during the work week.

This position also includes all hands on deck events and all Christmas and Easter weeks as required.

Relationships

Attend staff meetings and other team meetings as required by the Executive Director and Campus Pastors

All else as assigned
